The crow flies not always straight, not always level. This bird follows the setting sun, rounding the Earth until the atmosphere thickens with darkness and forces a landing.


The first version of this slid sideways into the land of lost socks on a post-it note. I've tried to recreate it here in Corel XARA. The rasterization process effected it unfortunately.

[Edit: I've decided to transfer this to the "Vector" gallery, because it really is a vector piece despite the fact that I had to convert it to a raster format for uploading.]

Turning a weathered eye on it, I've noticed I mis-cropped it, but the overall composition still stands OK.

I love the colors you used in this. And the sort of flat feel is nice, I like how it makes the clouds and river pop out more. The comment paired with the image is great too, very poetic. "the atmosphere thickens with darkness." Mmmm.

Thank you! You are very kind to say so, about both the picture and my comment.

The flatness, I am told, is characteristic of most vector art (these pictures would be in that gallery, but something feels wrong about uploading a jpeg into a vector gallery). It really appeals to some people, but completely disgusts others. I'm glad you like it in this application. ^_^

Thank you! :excited: I really need to go back and fix a few errors on it, like the white showing through in the center, and the white stripe along the bottom edge. But I'm very glad you like it!
